Making a difference:

Couples Ocho Rios makes a difference by applying best practices and trying each year to improve our bench marks in the areas of energy consumption and water usage, among other things. Over the last twelve months, we have been able to reduce the consumption of water by approximately 15% and electricity by approximately 5%. This contributes to the overall energy consumption as 90% of energy consumed in Jamaica is fueled by oil which is a non-renewable resource.

The resort contributes to our local community by employing people from the community as well purchasing most of our good and services from individuals from the surrounding area, which helps keep money earned in the community to stay in the community. We are also involved in adapting the Swift Percel Boys Home, Trees Hill Primary School and Pt. Maria Hospital that are a significant beneficiary of our continued donations.
